Our ‘Stay-In-Home’ Response

Dear Prairie Path Family,

Given the recent announcement that we just received from Governor Pritzker, we wanted to reach out to you about our plan moving forward. The direction we all received to ‘stay-in-home’ will require many of you to take your own action, staying inside, and look out for the safety of yourself and others around you.

Our COVID-19 Response

Dear Prairie Path Family,

We care about you and your pets’ well-being and want you to be aware that we are following closely the current situation regarding COVID-19. Secondly, we care about the health of our walkers and are thankful for the health of our company and plan to continue the great care to all of our clients and pets throughout these uncertain times.

Why We Get Great Walkers and Why They Go

(and why them going is actually a good thing!)

Operating a dog walking and pet sitting company is no easy business, but our business does not exist without our walkers. Below we share a bit about how we get great walkers, how we’re working to retain them and why they sometimes leave.

Can we see some I.D.?

Make sure your pet is properly tagged before the 4th.

You’ve probably already seen several articles by now about pet safety during the 4th of July holiday and rightfully so! It’s important to take extra measures during those loud holidays so your pet can feel safe and stress free inside their own home.

Rather than focusing on several measures you can take, we wanted to focus on one that we find very important to us and to our business – PROPER IDENTIFICATION.

The Prairie Path ‘Ruff-erral’ Program

Everyone surely remembers the movie ‘101 Dalmatians.’ Even if you haven’t seen it you probably at least understand the plot. Three evil villains, Cruella De Vil and her henchmen, Horace and Jasper, dognap 15 puppies with the intent of turning them into fur coats! But, do you remember how the new proud parents, Pongo and Perdita, got the word out about their lost litter of pups and their best bet in getting them back home? They used the Twilight Bark! This was the quickest way for dogs to send and receive news across the country. If that’s how it works, please tell your pups to use the Twilight Bark to share Prairie Path with all their friends!

How YOU Can Participate

Alas, we are not entirely sure that the Twilight Bark exists (we like to think it does) but our Ruff-erral Program is our human version. Now you too can pass it on!

When you share Prairie Path with your other pet lovers, owners and friends we’ll give you a FREE visit! All they need to do is mention your name at their Meet & Greet and we will also give them a FREE visit for trying us out as well. It’s a win-win for everyone!

Twilight Bark or not, we appreciate you putting in a good ‘bark’ for us.

Our Favorite #Skunked Story

Back in July we asked our Prairie Path family to share their #skunked stories; their tips, tricks and the nightmares those stinkers can cause. Below is our favorite from Cathy at our Park Ridge Location. Thanks for sharing, Cathy. What a story!
