Why did you want to work with animals? I was looking for something more fulfilling than my office job and had a friend who had done dog walking. I instantly loved the idea of spending my day with many dogs, getting to do the thing they love most, playing outside! It was something that was great for them but benefitted me just as much, if not more!

Did you grow up with pets or have pets of your own? I grew up in a big family, (8 kids!) so we had tons of pets. Everyone had their own little pets (lizards, hamsters, etc) and we had a few cats. I actually didn’t have a dog until I was 21 living on my own, but it was a revelation. I was a dog person instantly. I just never had the chance to realize it! My favorite childhood pet was my bearded dragon lizard named Rosenthal.

Where did you grow up? Lombard

When you aren’t caring for pets, what can we find you doing? I teach private music l lessons, record music and play in a band. I also wrote and just finished making a short film I acted in and cowrote with my brother. It will be screening in numerous festivals and around New York later this year.

What is a hidden talent of yours? I can read words backwards. I perfected this skill when working in a delivery truck when I was 19. Needless to say it was a boring job!
