Why did you want to work with animals? From a young age, I’ve always been very connected with animals, and it’s been a dream of mine to work with them full time.

Did you grow up with pets or have pets of your own? Growing up, my family was very pet-driven, but we had a hodgepodge of critters over the years. My first dog was a beagle puppy named Rosie. In middle school, I had a Budgie bird named Squirt. Our German Shepherd Husky mix, Diamond, has been with us for ten years and is my rock!

Where did you grow up? Wheaton, IL

When you aren’t caring for pets, what can we find you doing? I love to watercolor paint, swim in a tail with my mermaid group the Illinois Merpod, rest my tired feet watching Netflix or Youtube, or cuddling up with my pup!

What is a hidden talent of yours? I play viola and took lessons in the Suzuki program at Wheaton college but haven’t been very active in the last decade.
