Matt Ninke lives vicariously through his friends and family who are pet owners. At “home” in Portage, Michigan he spends time with their family dog Zoey, a cocker spaniel, or “mini cow” as he likes to refer to her, because of her spotted black and white coat. Before that his family cared for Kallie, another cocker spaniel that the family misses dearly. His city life holds him back personally from pet ownership, but can’t wait to give a dog a great life away from the big city one day!
Since he moved to Chicago in 2007 he has been friends with the company’s Founder, Shawn Frick. Looking for a career change he approached Shawn desiring a break from the four years in the Chicago startup tech world, eager to bring his background in management and customer service to Prairie Path. A natural helper at heart, organizational nut-case, coach, mentor and dog lover, Matt soon became a welcomed addition to the PPPC family.
Matt lives in Chicago with his wife Kate and when he isn’t helping grow and support Prairie Path, he can be found spending time playing golf with his wife and friends, bowling and volunteering at his church serving as congregational president. Matt is certified in the Basics of Dog-Human Behavior.
