Why did you want to work with animals? I have spent a lot of years in traditional jobs, and as much as I love people, I was never truly happy. Working with animals, taking care of them and helping their owners be able to connect and bond better has been an absolute dream. Everyone keeps telling me I found my career, and I think they’re right!
Did you grow up with pets or have pets of your own? I’ve always had pets as a child; rabbits, cats, gerbils, mice, birds, and dogs. When I lived on my own, I had my two pups, Vegas and Reno. Unfortunately we lost our Bubba (Reno’s favorite nickname) last fall after 14 years. He was my boy, and it’s been a loss, but we believe that animals want us to keep loving other animals. We have adopted two kittens, Sarah and Loki, and a new puppy, Marvel. We also have a bearded dragon named Bakunin. It’s a zoo, but one filled with lots of joy and fun and love!
Where did you grow up? Chicago
When you aren’t caring for pets, what can we find you doing? I have a small photography business, so you can usually find me taking photos when the weather is nice. I spend whatever free time I have with my amazing daughter and our menagerie of pets.
What is a hidden talent of yours? I’m the best parallel parker you will ever meet.
