Off leash! The East Branch Forest preserves is known for their site of grassland birds, shorebirds and waterfowl with lakes, marshes and wildlife habitats. This 525-acre wetland is also home to their off leash – Forest Preserve District permitted dogs. With a training pond and 60 acres of fun, it is located west side of Swift Road 1 mile north of North Avenue. Dogs must be on leash in their parking lots and leashes cannot be more than 10 feet long. Closed on Mondays until 9 a.m.
