The Illinois Prairie Path spans 61 Miles in Northeastern Illinois along the (CA&E) rail line that had begun in 1963. With branches of trails running from Elgin, Aurora, and all the way out to Oak Park. When on your way to Elgin, a must see rest stop is the Lincoln Marsh or in a bit of a bike emergency, make sure to stop at the Wheaton bike shop for all your bike needs. With wildlife expanding throughout each brach and light posts at many markers, you can feel safe while leash walking the trails with your dog and family.
