TEAM WHEATON
Get to know
JESSIE M.
Branch Manager, Wheaton
Jessie has been with Prairie Path Pet Care since October of 2018. Starting as a walker she showed her worth and hard work ethic and it paid off! She was quickly promoted in just under a year to become Wheaton's first Assistant Manager ....and then COVID happened. The pandemic brought Prairie Path many new challenges, and for Jessie that was stepping quickly into the GM role. For Jessie it's been a crazy ride but within it she's have found a true passion.
Jessie enjoys the team that she has, of which I can not do this without. She particularly loves getting to know all of our clients (furry and non). "It's a joy to love and care for all of our furry, scaled, and feathery friends." When asked why she wanted to work with animals she responded "why wouldn't you?!"
Jessie grew up in Indiana. When she's not at work, Jessie is still caring for pets and owns a few herself and has always had pets growing up. Currently she loves and tends to two dogs, seven ball pythons and two boa constrictors. She's always loved animals and in her spare time (whenever there is any) enjoys painting pet portraits, art of any kind, playing guitar and piano and playing video games.
WENDY G.
Assistant Manager, WHEATON
Wendy was born and raised in the Lombard area and currently resides in Brookfield. She has been with the Prairie Path Pet Care team since the summer of 2014 and has met hundreds of pets since and has loved every minute of it! Building lasting relationships with clients throughout the years, as well as meeting friendly, new faces are both special parts of this position that Wendy has found the most joy in.
Wendy grew up with a variety of pets including dogs, cats, birds, hamsters, fish, etc. She now currently has a Jack Russel mix named Louie, and two cats named Grizwold and Zucchini. She has a B.A. in Anthropology from Western Illinois University, with a special interest in Anthrozoology, as she has always had a fascination with the unique, healing nature of the human-animal bond. When she's not caring for your pets, you can find her crocheting away with one of her cats at her side or exploring nearby forest preserves with her own pup. Wendy loves spending time outside with your furry friends in all the seasons, including Winter(!), and is so happy to be part of the Prairie Path Pet Care Wheaton team.
WANT TO MEET OUR WALKERS?
We get it! We want to meet them before they start working for us too. That is why each walker goes through an extensive interview process, background check and on-the-job training before taking on a dedicated route.
Before service begins you'll be able to meet a manager and your dedicated walker at your free Meet & Greet. Even more, our scheduling software provides profiles on each of our team members so you can get to know everyone on our walking team!
